Welcome I am honored to have served as your County Commissioner for the past three and a half years and I am looking forward to serving you the next four years. Since 2008 I have worked hard on your behalf and have accomplishments in County Economics and Business Development, Education, Environmental Preservation, and Community Quality of Life improvements. I have also continued to expand my understanding and cooperation with State government and have been recognized as the only County Commissioner in Durham with UNC School of Government Local Elected Leaders Academy Master Certification. I have been recognized for leadership in education, with the other commissioners, by the School Board Association and I have always been and strong advocate for our children and our senior citizens. I initiated the creation of the Durham County Strategic Plan to guide and govern the future direction of the county for all the citizens.
